Technology experts suggest that these new tariffs will likely result in even higher prices for smartphones and other electronic devices. This situation is particularly troubling for residents of Pakistan, where inflation remains high and the value of the rupee continues to decline. If the costs related to importing and manufacturing these phones rise, the final retail price for consumers might soar to as much as $3,500 per iPhone—over three times the current price.
