Army Chief General Asim Munir stated that Pakistan is poised to emerge as a global leader in the mineral economy, owing to the vast natural resources lying beneath its surface. He made these comments during the Pakistan Mineral Investment Forum 2025, which took place in Islamabad.

He mentioned that numerous students from Balochistan are currently receiving training abroad in mineral exploration, which will contribute to establishing a robust local workforce in the future.
